The fees listed below are the official Chapter 13 bankruptcy fees. The costs of the Chapter 13 bankruptcy may vary from case to case and several factors may increase or decrease the total costs (For example the use of bankruptcy attorney).
The fees listed below are statutory filing fees, payable to the bankruptcy court.
The Chapter 13 bankruptcy fees are :
1. The case filling fee : 235 usd.
2. A miscellaneous administrative fee of 39 usd.
These two fees must be paid to the clerk of the court upon filing. If you have the bankruptcy court permission you may pay these fee in installments, but the number of installments is limed to four and the debtor must make the final payment no later than 120 after filling for bankruptcy.
In case you are filling a joint petition the 39 administrative fee must is paid only time. You also need to know that failure to pay these two fees means the dismissal of your bankruptcy case.
In case you want to covert your Chapter 13 bankruptcy case in a chapter 7 bankruptcy case you will pat a 15 usd fee.
In conclusion the Chapter 13 bankruptcy fees total is 274 usd. Fees may be subject to change so be sure you get informed before starting the procedures.
